Maggie Harris has received the Guyana Prize for her poems and a Commonwealth Short Story Prize for her prose. Her observations of migration and family offer musicality and heart-warming stories of the human experience. She brings to this event a London launch of her new short story collection 'In Margate by Lunchtime'.
John Agard is a writer of books for children and adults. He was a recipient of the Queen's Gold Medal for Poetry and many students study his poems at GCSE level. He travels to festivals around the world to perform his poetry, offering wit, imagination and exhilarating wordplay.
