Jean ‘Binta’ Breeze presents readings from her new poetry collection The Verandah Poems at Keynes College, University of Kent.

Breeze marked her 60th birthday in 2016 with the publication of her new poetry collection The Verandah Poems (Bloodaxe). She is the author of eight books including On the Edge of An Island and Third World Girl. A recipient of an MBE in 2012 for her services to Poetry and often cited as a ‘one-woman festival’, her words carry powerful political and personal messages.
