Join poet Michael Brome, WORD! hosts Lydia Towsey and Tim Sayers and guest open mic performers at the longest running spoken word night in the East Midlands.  

Michael Brome uses his writing and oratory as a means to inspire people to make changes to their lives and their prospects, resulting in education projects with HMP Leicester, Phoenix Arts Centre, De-Montfort Hall, Peepul Centre and Nottingham Playhouse and In 2016 a commission for London Is The Place For Me at the British Library and a featured writer spot in Leicester’s BHM season, including a shared event with Jean ‘Binta’ Breeze (Poets On The Verandah) at Hansom Hall, with Serendipity. 

PLUS a 4pm - 6pm Masterclass on Performance Skills: insights and exercises on using voice, themes and performance techniques to engage, and win over, an audience.
