Diversity Arts and Renaissance One are thrilled to drop a very special season of #THECOLOURCYCLE Podcast! “UK/AUS - This is Who We Are (Part One).” This season features collaborations between Australian and British creatives, focused on global conversations and knowledge sharing!
This podcast is a collaboration with This Is Who We Are, which amplifies and brings together Women of Colour/Global Majority Women in solidarity. Formed by a collective including Renaissance One, Third Space, Diversity Arts Australia and Australia and UK-based cultural practitioners/activists.
As part of British Council’s UK/AUS Season, we have released four episodes that bring together women across the UK and Australian creative industries, to learn from each other and share their experiences.
Guests include: Hip Hop artists Thelma Trey, Maya Jupiter and Sarah Love; classical musicians Deborah Cheetham and Chi-chi Nwanoku; novelist Sharmilla Beezmohun and filmmaker Pearl Tan + more! They chat about working cross-culturally, the impacts of Covid, overcoming barriers in classical music, intersectionality, artistic activism and what they wish they knew when they were younger.
