Valda Jackson is an award-winning artist – painting with oils, sculpture, print and video. Shortlisted in 2021 for the prestigious National Windrush Monument commission, Jamaican born, Jackson makes work about human existence and survival. Also a published writer, her short stories appear in numerous anthologies including The Peepal Tree Book of Caribbean Short Stories (2018).
